I do not think that liposuction is suitable for your obese cousin. Liposuction is designed to remove fat from specific areas i.e. thighs, stomach. If your cousin is obese he needs to lose weight from everywhere.

Recommends that he talks to a dietitian about a healthy eating plan and takes regular exercise.

As a last resort he should explore gastric bands which restrict food intake.

Extreme pain and possible death. Liposuction and stomach reduction surgery are both pathetic actions. Neither solves the problem that the individual has which is an inability to eat a whole natural diet. Money would be better spent on a psychologist so that the problem can truly be addressed.

Hello. From my experience I must say without seeing your cousin I would first suggest that he or she go see a specialist in liposuction…depending how obese he/she is will depend if this is the right procedure for getting rid of the extra fat. Liposuction has developed a lot over the last 10 years and may be an option for your cousin. There are other procedures that may benefit him or her more so than lipo. Again the first start would be to go see a specialist in liposuction and get the doctors opinion.

There is no need to be scared of liposuction. Like I said it has developed so much that the positive out weighs any negative! Now it is important that you choose a surgeon who is knowledgeable in this field. With any surgery there are risks involved. Surgery is surgery. Rest assured if you choose a surgeon who specializes in a specific surgery you looking into then you will be in good hands. Also make sure the doctor is a good fit for your cousin. This is a serious situation and feeling comfortable is the most important as well as finding a good doctor.

you are to avoid anesthesia at all cost when pregnant. its not even good to get numb at the dentist. besides, having surgery while pregnant puts the body in distress which also puts stress on the fetus. everything you do while pregnant effects the baby. whoever would get lipo while pregnant doesn’t deserve to be pregnant. and what ever doctor that would preform it should lose their licenses. growing a baby is serious .

Answer by Dr. Hall
It is not safe and no doctor would perform liposuction on a pregnant woman. However it is not required to have a pregnancy test before having surgery. If one doesn’t know she is pregnant and undergoes surgery than it could result in possible complications.

Anesthesia is not good for the baby in any way, shape, or form while in the womb.

Hope this helped.
