Question: Breast implant?
I was diagnosed with breast cancer about 3 years ago, had a mastectomy on my left breast and then later after chemo I had breast reconstruction done with a silicone breast implant. Has anyone ever experience itching inside the implanted breast? I get itchy inside the implant and can’t feel the skin on the outside…It’s weird! What does this mean?

i googled “itchy implant breast cancer” and found the ff. site:
http://www.hopkinsbreastcenter.org/services/ask_expert/index.asp?cat=1&pagenum=39
which has a lot of different circumstances that are all itchy implant related. all point to the “please see your doctor immediately though”, because what you’re describing is a better be safe than sorry scenario.

I’m in the same boat. I had a mastectomy with reconstruction with silicone implant just about a year ago.
Some times it itches like crazy and it’s sooo weird because the skin has no feeling!!
My plastic surgeon and breast surgeon have both told me it’s normal and can just be due to stretching and scar tissue

you should just be happy with what you have…. all women are beautifull in their own ways. you don’t need big breast’s to make you pretty

mine was $ 5000 and I got them placed under the muscle (they look natural). My surgeon had me go through a battery of tests and consultations and I had faith in him. He said the implants were like putting balls in a pocket. . . if you put too many in it doesn’t look very nice. I talked to about three cosmetic surgeons before I made my decision. Recovery wasn’t too bad (it did hurt), but I’m happy with the results. Good Luck!

I’ll assume for the moment that you mean *two* breast implants as part of a breast augmentation.
You ask what the price of a breast implant is (meaning two breast implants, presumably). But you don’t ask about the surgery. I think saline implants are about $ 800/pr and silicone about double that.
The price of getting the surgery will vary. It varies depending on location, skills, reputation, etc.
Take this link, for example:
http://www.bestbreastinthewest.com/breast_augmentation/normal.html
$ 3250 for saline, and $ 4100 for (cohesive silicone) gel. Including the implants.
Conversely, I’ve heard of prices easily upwards of $ 8000 in Beverly Hills or New York City.
My wife got her breast augmentation (and breast lift) 17 days ago, which cost $ 6300 plus $ 75 for the lab work. Plus the meds (pain killers, antibiotics, muscle relaxers, plus anti-nausea meds in case you feel nauseous from the muscle relaxers).

Be happy with what you have, I’m a 36A and I’m happy with my breasts so I will never have any back pain from large heavy breasts to carry around 24/7 365 for the rest of my life

I think the FDA literally approved silicone implants again like 4 days ago, and today on my tour of the hospital, this cage was found. FULL of differnt sized silicone breast implants.
Of course I’m in so cal, so I guess they are in very heavy demand.
