Q&A: Can anybody tells me about tummy tuck recovery.?
I had a tummy tuck surgery a week ago, the drains were remove today but I still have liquid retention is this normal or I need special care. How long is te recovery time? when the inflamation goes away? When I am going to se my new me?

Something tells me that you didn’t really have tummy tuck surgery yet because if you did, you should know all of the answers to these questions beforehand… either that, or you had a crappy doctor.

You are way early in the recovery game. It is completely normal to have water retention and swelling at this point-even if your drains have already been removed. Make sure to wear your binder and rest, rest, rest! I know it is hard but trust me it is worth it! The recovery time is different for everyone. Give it a ggod 3 weeks to start feeling “normal” again. That is when I went back to work. I waited about 5 to resume exercise. You will have swelling for quite a while. Every day you will start to see improvements.
